You Deserve to be Heard: Wellness Restoration Project

I recently had the opportunity to talk with Shelley Swapp, host of The Wellness Restoration Project. We discussed how women can apply the principles found inside my book, The Assertiveness Guide for Women, when navigating the world of healthcare. You are the expert of your own body, and practicing the principles of assertiveness will help you express what you need when interacting with a healthcare provider.

Assertiveness is often associated with aggression, but they are not the same. Assertiveness is expressing what you feel, want and need. In other words, it is advocating for yourself. You can be your own best advocate, and you deserve to be heard.
