Guest Appearance: Bullies Be Gone: Making Our Mental Health a Priority

I was recently a guest speaker on the Bullies Be Gone podcast. Host Nate Webb and I spoke about making our mental health a priority. He is a high school counselor, so we spoke a lot about how teenagers can prioritize their mental health. But I believe that the principles we discuss apply to people of all ages.

One of the principles that we discuss is self worth. In a world where social media shows people a fake, idealized version of others’ lives, it can be hard not to compare ourselves to other people. When we compare ourselves to others, we often struggle to see our own self worth. Our self worth, however, is unchanging. Our performance and appearance will go up and down from day to day, but our worth is steady and unchanging.
